eNotarization goes beyond just the 'go green' agenda. It not only makes your life convenient but also allows your clients to get their documents notarized through a highly secured video conference.

Now, in this article we are going to discuss the 5 key benefits of e-notarization:

  1. Faster and More Accurate Transactions:
Those days are past when you had to wait for several days to get your client's signatures, as e-notarization enables you to get the signatures in a few minutes. That means, with a smart e-notarization platform, you no need to go for an after-hours trip to get the client's signature.
A sophisticated e-notary always comes with an e-signature pad that enables you to get your client's signatures instantly.
Unlike the legacy paper-based notarization process, a digital notary platform has mandatory fields to ensure that you have 100% complete documents.
  2. Improved Client Satisfaction:
Regardless of the time and place, with e-notary software, your clients can sign and get the documents notarized through real-time video and audio conferencing. This technology makes it super convenient and easy for your clients to interact with you and this is how it can give you a competitive edge.
  3. Reduced Operational Costs:
E-notarization helps you save considerable time and after all, time is money. The entire notarization process takes only a few minutes and you can spend the rest of the time on relationship building and selling your service. It also helps you save money on printing, fax and mailing documents.
  4. Stay Safe with the Best Security:
eNotary On Call ensures the highest level of document security. It maintains a highly detailed and legally binding audit trail for each document to ensure utmost evidence in the case of a legal dispute.
  5. Electronic Notary Journal:
eNotary On Call ensures that you no longer need to maintain a paper-based notepad to keep all the notary records as it has the electronic notary journal that keeps all your notary records safe in a secure cloud location.

To provide simple and secure access, each document is assigned a unique ID. In order for an interested person to retrieve a particular document and (if authorized to do so) its associated video recording, a recipient or receiving institution must share the provided retrieval instructions and necessary security credentials. Using these, the notarized document and related records can be accessed on our platform.

Yes, it is.

In 2011, with the passage of House Bill 2318/Senate Bill 827, Virginia became the first state to authorize its notaries to notarize documents remotely via live audio-video technology. Since then, numerous states have passed laws authorizing their notaries to perform online notarizations. These online notarizations are accepted across the country due to a long-standing body of laws in each state that specifically provides for recognition and acceptance of out-of-state notarizations. In addition to laws in each state recognizing and accepting common out-of-state notarizations, the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution may provide an additional basis for states to accept out of state notarizations. For your benefit, we’ve put together an easy guide to the interstate recognition statutes in each state, which can be found here.

Documents notarized on the eNotary On Call platform are electronically signed by the signer(s) and the notary. Certain states and public agencies have specific additional requirements and limitations for accepting electronically-signed documents and out-of-state notarizations, and not all documents may be electronically-signed.
